I said WHAT?

Common communication is fraught with opportunities for misunderstanding. Add hurt, fear, expectations, conflict and high emotion to the mix and communication can become explosive and divisive. This will be an interactive workshop.

What are the common mistakes made during

Communication With Your Adult Child?

New Groups will be forming for Fall. See information below for Drop In Group.

Do you know who we are yet?

PEAK is a network of parents who have been estranged by their adult children. Some are experiencing this for the first time and have just learned about estrangement and others have been dealing with this for a while. You don't have to do this alone - there are approximately 5 million estranged parents in the United States alone.

Join us for this workshop to learn what PEAK is all about and what it is offering parents who have been estranged by their adult children.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

1 in 12 parents over the age of 55 has been estranged by one or more of their children. And the rate is increasing. Many parents don't understand what has happened, why it has happened, are exhibiting signs of trauma, depression, and anxiety. Estranged parents feel shame about what has happened. Experiencing feelings similar to those they have felt when someone has died is a common report as are reports of a growing distance in the marriage relationship.

Learn about the many commonalities and how PEAK is helping estranged parents cope.

How did THAT happen?

The Fearless Relationship Audit is intended for self-awareness and growth—not guilt. We want to take a look at our lives through the lens of relationships—both our past and present. How can we identify events that have had negative impacts on our lives, not just with the estrangement of our children, but also with other relationships? How did we handle those situations? What failures are the consequences of our own actions? What can I learn from this to improve my situation today and help with future relationships? Relationship dynamics go both ways, but the only part of them that we can manage, is our own part. AND you may also identify a couple of your strengths!

This is a condensed version of the regular workshop and will help you get started. The full version of this workshop will be offered in Fall, 2024.
